a shift in parenting

One of the great shifts in parenting, even from 25 years ago, has been studied.

By age 3, children will have a conclusion on one of two avenues:

1). It is my job to pay attention to my parents.

2). It is my parents job to pay all the attention to me.

The research concluded: When children lack the understanding to pay attention to their parents, they will be more difficult to discipline.

The respect and honor toward parents change when the world revolves around the child. Sound familiar?...(entitlement issues).

Raising respectful kids starts at age 0.

•negotiating with a toddler is not an option.
